GBP Recovery — Wherever You Are
GBP Fixers is a Google Partner agency specialising in Google Business Profile suspension recovery for businesses across the United States, United Kingdom, and Canada. We work 100% remotely — your location does not affect our ability to recover your listing.
A suspended Google Business Profile cuts off your most important source of inbound calls. Customers searching for your service on Google Maps cannot find you. Competitors collect leads that should be yours. Every day offline costs revenue you cannot recover.
Our team has recovered 500+ suspended listings across all three markets. We understand the policy differences between Google's US, UK, and Canadian enforcement teams. We know which suspension types respond to which appeal strategies — and we start working your case immediately after the free consultation.

How GBP Suspension Rates Differ by Location
Suspension patterns are not uniform across markets. In our caseload, US businesses account for the largest volume of suspensions — particularly service-area businesses operating in major metro areas like New York, Los Angeles, Houston, Chicago, and Miami. These cities have the highest density of competing GBP listings, which means Google's automated systems flag new and existing listings more aggressively.
In the UK, the suspension pattern skews differently. London-based businesses face a high rate of duplicate listing merges, while businesses in smaller cities — Birmingham, Manchester, Leeds, Glasgow — are more often suspended because of address verification issues related to how UK businesses structure their service areas. UK enforcement also applies stricter scrutiny to trades categories like electricians, plumbers, and locksmiths.
Canada presents a third pattern. Toronto and Vancouver have the highest suspension density, driven largely by home-service categories. Quebec-based businesses face additional complexity — French language requirements for business names and descriptions can inadvertently trigger policy flags when English descriptions are used for a Quebec-registered business. For a full breakdown of Canadian suspension patterns, province-specific documentation requirements, and a documented Toronto recovery example, see the Canada GBP Suspension Hub.

Which Business Types Are Hit Hardest
Certain business categories carry higher suspension risk in specific markets. Across all three countries, the highest-risk categories are home services (HVAC, plumbing, roofing, electrical), legal services (lawyers, personal injury firms, immigration attorneys), and healthcare practices (medical clinics, dental offices, chiropractors). These categories attract the most fraudulent listings — so Google's automated systems scrutinise them more aggressively, which means legitimate businesses get caught in the net more often.
In the USA, real estate agents and auto repair shops have seen elevated suspension rates since Google updated its local service category enforcement in late 2025. In the UK, letting agents and estate agencies face ongoing compliance challenges around residential address requirements. In Canada, trades contractors operating across multiple provinces — covering both English and French-speaking regions — are frequently suspended for service area configuration errors.

Service Area Businesses — A Location-Specific Challenge
Service area businesses — plumbers, electricians, cleaners, landscapers, and other trades that go to the customer rather than having customers visit a fixed address — face a unique challenge with Google Business Profile. Google requires SABs to hide their physical address and list only their service areas. When this is configured incorrectly, or when the service area covers too many cities relative to the size of the business, Google's automated systems can suspend the listing without warning.
SAB suspensions are the single most common case type we handle across all three markets. The recovery process differs from a standard suspension — it requires restructuring the listing's service area configuration, not just submitting a generic appeal. Our team has specific experience with SAB compliance across US states, UK regions, and Canadian provinces, including the postal code radius rules that differ between markets.
If you operate as an SAB and your listing is suspended, do not create a new listing before speaking with us. Creating a duplicate while a suspended listing exists will result in both being flagged permanently.
