GBP Suspended in London? Google decides the outcome.

A search for GBP optimisation in London is about the fields on a Business Profile: the name, the categories, the photos, the posts, and the area the business says it covers. That work is described on the GBP optimization page. It is not a promise that the profile will rank. Google decides what it shows. If the London listing is suspended, optimisation is the wrong first step. The appeal file is suspension recovery.

For a limited company, the public company record is Companies House, not a directory. The Find and update company information service lets you search the register. GOV.UK's guide to searching the register says the service is free, that you do not need to register to view it, and that the free details include the company type, the registered office address, the nature of business, and the company status. Compare that registered office and the company name with what the Business Profile says. Companies House does not edit Google.

London is not one council. The Greater London Authority says there are 33 local government authorities: 32 London boroughs and the City of London Corporation. The London Plan's annex of inner and outer boroughs lists, among others, Westminster, Camden, and Southwark as inner, and Croydon as outer. A service-area business sets the areas it covers in Google's editor as cities, postal codes, or other areas, up to 20, not as a radius. A borough or a postcode district is the kind of area that editor accepts. List only the places you serve. Google's signup page says one profile for the metropolitan area, and that more than one profile for the same business in that area can suspend the account. If you do not receive customers at the address, hide it.
