What does a suspended Google Business Profile mean for a UK business?
In UK English, owners still say Google Business Profile (GBP). Older “Google My Business” language points at the same product. On Maps, customers in the UK see the listing through Google Search and Google Maps (including google.co.uk/maps). The enforcement product is still the Business Profile. Help for owners sits on Google Business Profile Help, not a separate .co.uk policy book.
Google’s Fix suspended or disabled profiles page states that Google may suspend or disable profiles that do not follow the guidelines, and that owners can submit an appeal for reinstatement. When a profile is removed, the public cannot open it, and owners and managers cannot act on it, but they can ask Google to reinstate it.
Match the words on your screen before you file. Suspended, disabled, Not Approved, Can’t be appealed, and verification failed are different states. Start at the suspended hub if you are still naming the status.
How do UK owners submit a GBP reinstatement appeal?
Google publishes the order. Skipping a step is how owners burn an appeal chance. This outline is the Help path plus the UK evidence mapping we use in practice. Policy claims cite Help. Working notes are labelled as observation.
Preserve access and evidence
Screenshot the exact dashboard status, emails, Appeals Tool labels, and the live name, address, phone, and categories as they appear now. Do not delete the listing or create a replacement profile.
Name the real status
Suspended, disabled, Not Approved, Can’t be appealed, Eligible for appeal, ownership or access loss, and verification blocks are different problems. Match the words on your screen to a crisis hub before filing.
Fix the live profile first
Correct name stuffing, Ltd or legal-term use without real-world proof, service-area address visibility, categories, phone reuse, and duplicates before another appeal. Google reviews the live profile, not only the letter you attach.
Build a matching UK evidence pack
Google’s Help list includes official business registration, a business license, tax certificates, and utility bills. Names and addresses on those documents must match the profile. Map UK papers (Companies House, HMRC/VAT, utility or council-tax statements, professional-body certificates) onto that list. That mapping is our working method, not a separate Google UK form.
Use the Appeals Tool, then attach evidence in the window Google states
Open the Fix suspended or disabled profiles path. If Google prompts for evidence, Help says you must submit that form within 60 minutes or it will not attach.

How is the UK Help path different from the USA path?
Google does not publish a United Kingdom-only reinstatement product. The representing guidelines and the suspension appeal are global. Help then draws one line that matters for UK owners: the United Kingdom is grouped with the EEA for some Appeals Tool tasks, and treated separately from EEA-only Digital Services Act options. The table below is policy, cited to Google, not a scoreboard of agencies.

Observation, not policy: UK evidence packs still have to translate Google’s US-flavoured examples (state licence, EIN) into Companies House, HMRC, and professional-body papers. That is a documentation problem. It is not a faster Google queue.
What evidence should a UK business prepare?
Google’s suspended-profile Help lists examples that can strengthen an appeal: official business registration, a business licence, tax certificates, and utility bills. Help also says the business name and address on those documents must match the profile, and that optional evidence must be submitted within 60 minutes of opening the evidence form. The right-hand column is how we map that list onto UK paperwork. It is labelled observation. It is not a Google UK statute.

Name field. Help’s representing guidelines require the name to match real-world signage and branding. Marketing taglines, service menus, and location stuffing are not allowed. Legal terms such as Ltd need real-world proof if you keep them in the name. Fix the live name before you appeal.
