Phoenix profiles and the Arizona Registrar of Contractors
A Phoenix Google Business Profile has to describe a business that is actually based there. The City of Phoenix site is the municipal site. It does not host Business Profile appeals. If the listing is suspended, the file we prepare is the one on suspension recovery. Google decides whether that listing returns. This page does not publish a rate, a day count, or a promise.
Arizona contractors have a state lookup that is not TDLR and not the Florida DBPR. The Arizona Registrar of Contractors publishes a contractor search. The search page says you can enter a license number or a name, and that the advanced search can filter by city, classification, and status. The agency home page is roc.az.gov. Use that search when a Phoenix profile belongs to a licensed contractor and the name on the license should match the name on the profile. The Registrar does not file Google appeals.
Service-area businesses in the Phoenix area still follow Google's editor. You can set up to 20 areas by city, postal code, or another area, and you cannot use a radius. Cities with their own sites in this metro include Chandler and Scottsdale. Mesa and Tempe are separate cities in the same valley. Put them on the service area only if the trucks go there. If customers are not received at the Phoenix address, hide the address. Google's guidelines also reject a P.O. box and an unstaffed virtual office.
Google's signup guidance says one profile for the metropolitan area. A second Phoenix-area profile for the same company, pointed at Scottsdale or Chandler, is the pattern that page says can suspend the account. Call (855) 939-4111, Monday–Friday 8am–8pm EST, before you open another listing.
