GBP Suspended in Toronto? Google decides the outcome.

A Toronto Google Business Profile should match the business Ontario has on the public record and the way that business meets customers. The City of Toronto site is the municipal site. It is not the appeal form. If the listing is suspended, the service we describe is suspension recovery. Google decides the outcome. This section does not retell a case result.

The Ontario Business Registry is the province's system for businesses and not-for-profit corporations that are registered, incorporated, or licensed to carry on business in Ontario. Ontario says anyone can search it for free for basic public information, and that information such as a registered office or other address is on the public record. Administrative contact details are not. A profile report and a certificate of status are separate search products you order. Use the free search to see whether the name and address you put on the Business Profile are the ones the registry shows. The registry does not submit anything to Google.

Toronto service-area businesses often travel into neighboring municipalities. Those are not extra profiles. Mississauga, Brampton, and Oakville each have their own municipal sites. Vaughan is a separate city in York Region. Google's service-area help says you enter up to 20 areas as cities, postal codes, or other areas, and that a radius is not allowed. Google's signup page says one profile for the metropolitan area, and that multiple profiles for the same business in that area can suspend the account. If customers are not served at the Toronto address, hide it, as Google's address help describes.
